After receiving the Health Bureau’s emergency notification of a suspicious positive sample posing a certain risk in the community, the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) suspended classes until further notice.

DSEDJ immediately despatched staff to schools, as well as entry and exit ports to assist cross-border students and parents, urging them to return to their residence in Macao or stay with relatives or friends. Students with no place to stay were encouraged to return to school. Schools were requested to take appropriate care, observe the epidemic prevention guidelines and wait for parents to pick up pupils.

Additionally, the DSEDJ has coordinated with schools that have a large number of cross-border students, sending staff to the crossing points to assist students. The bureau is coordinating with schools to provide further support to relevant students.
