The 21st edition of the Macau International Fair (MIF), taking place from 20 to 22 October, will have the participation of over 50 countries and regions showcased at over 1,600 stands, said the fair’s organising body, the Macau Institute for Trade and Investment Promotion (IPIM).
Based on the theme of “Cooperation – The Key to Business Opportunities,” this year’s MIF will occupy an area of about 30,000 square metres, the main difference to previous editions being a new section called “Partner Countries and Cities.”
The Fair will include the “Themed partner country pavilion – Portugal” and the “Themed partner city pavilion – Beijing” at the entrance, with a total area of over 800 square metres, showcasing culture and history and disseminating information on the investment climate and the latest economic situation of these two locations, so that visitors can understand the strengths of Portugal and Beijing as soon as they arrive.
Around the two pavilions of Portugal and Beijing, there will be the “Exhibition of Products and Services of the Portuguese Speaking Countries”, the “The Health Industry and Traditional Chinese Medicine Pavilion” and the “Commercial Exhibition Zone alluding to the Provinces and Municipalities of Mainland China,” which is composed of about 20 provinces/regions/municipalities in Mainland China.
In addition to the themed pavilions, and aiming to coordinate Beijing’s role of “partner city,” this exhibition will introduce the “Pavilion of Beijing Time-honoured Products” along with the “Macau SMEs Pavilion,” the “Exhibition Hall and Sale of Products from Portuguese-Speaking Countries,” the “Taiwan Pavilion” and the “Pavilion of Chinese Ethnic Groups – Products, Culture and Crafts,” with rich and diverse content for visitors to enjoy.
IPIM also said that will be able to make use of a number of free services, including business contact exchanges.
