He boarded the Macau Tourism Crisis Management Office’s chartered bus bound for Macau via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. On arriving the city, he was quarantined at the Grand Coloane Hotel. He started feeling hot on Sunday, but showed no other symptoms.
He was sent to Conde de S. Januário Hospital Centre for testing and results were positive for the novel coronavirus. He is currently at the isolation ward in the Conde de S. Januário Hospital Centre.
Macau’s 23 confirmed COVID-19 cases include 10 patients – seven tourists from Wuhan and three locals – who have been discharged from hospital. The other 13 cases, all of them imported, have been confirmed since last Sunday (March 15).
Macau’s first novel coronavirus case was diagnosed on January 22.
