Vendors in all markets and sales booth areas must go through daily rapid antigen tests (RAT) before opening, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has announced.

The bureau said it is monitoring vendors’ RATs more closely and has reminded them to follow Covid-19 prevention and hygiene guidelines, as well as to take personal hygiene protection measures.

IAM staff are carrying out more detailed inspections, while Covid-19 prevention messages are broadcast in municipal markets and sales booth areas urging members of the public to keep their distance from each other. Security guards are also stationed at market entrances to provide residents with hand sanitisers.

The bureau pointed out that it cleans all the municipal markets, sales booth areas and nearby streets while the markets are closed, as well as cleaning public facilities with diluted bleach, The Macau Post Daily reported.
