The line will connect six stations upon its expected completion in 2028, from the Taipa Ferry Terminal up to the Border Gate.

The 7.7-kilometre line will connect the Barrier Gate border checkpoint and the Taipa Ferry Terminal, with construction estimated at 4 years.
Bids range from from MOP 4.47 to 5.13 billion; tender for southern section ends today; trains should start running in 2028 – assuming no delays.
Resumption will begin with about 10 round trips per day, including night ferry services but none in early morning.
