Good Friday, also known as “Holy Friday,” is the Friday preceding Easter Sunday.
It is the day on which Catholics commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It is also a legal holiday around much of the world.
In Macau, hundreds of people gathered to attend a mass celebrating the Passion of Christ followed by the procession of the Dead Lord at Se Cathedral. The procession was also accompanied by Macau’s Public Security Police.
Today, Macau is one of the few places in Asia where the procession is still held.
